We care about your privacy and want you to understand what information we collect, why we collect it and what happens to it when you visit our website, join our mailing list, contact us or take part in one of our learning experiences.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pauline Carr Collective Pty Ltd, trading through Through the Disconnect, handles personal information.

We don't ask you to provide more sensitive personal information than is reasonably necessary for the interaction you're having with us.

Email communication
If you choose to join our mailing list, download a resource that includes email communication, or otherwise opt in to hear from us, we may send you educational content, updates and information about Through the Disconnect.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
We currently use MailerLite to help manage email subscriptions and communications.
Courses and learning experiences
Our online learning experiences are delivered using LearnWorlds.
If you enrol in a course or other learning experience, information needed to create and manage your account, provide the learning experience and record relevant activity may be processed through LearnWorlds.
Some learning activities may invite personal reflection. Where a reflection is designed only for your own thinking, we'll make that clear where appropriate. If information you enter is submitted to or stored by a platform rather than remaining solely with you, we aim to make that clear too.
Payments
Payments for paid products or learning experiences are processed through third-party payment providers.
We currently expect to use Stripe for payment processing through our learning platform. Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.
Through the Disconnect does not need to receive or store your complete payment card details in order to process a purchase.
Website, analytics and advertising
Our website is hosted using Squarespace.
We may use analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics and tools provided by Meta, to understand how people find and use our website, evaluate our content and advertising, and improve what we provide.
These technologies may collect information about your browser, device and interactions with our website and may use cookies or similar technologies.
Where required, we'll provide appropriate choices about the use of cookies and similar technologies.
The services we use
Running Through the Disconnect involves using trusted third-party services to provide different parts of the experience.
These may include services for:
website hosting
email communication
online learning
payment processing
analytics
advertising
video or media hosting
secure business administration and data storage.
These providers may process personal information on our behalf or receive information necessary to provide their services.
Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies and applicable laws.
Overseas processing
Some of the technology providers we use operate internationally or store and process information outside Australia.
This means personal information may be processed or stored in countries other than Australia, depending on the infrastructure and service providers involved.
We choose established service providers and take reasonable steps appropriate to our business to protect the personal information we handle.
Keeping information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
No method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we use reputable service providers and appropriate security practices for the nature of the information we handle.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business and administrative purposes, or where we're required to retain it by law.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete it or take reasonable steps to de-identify it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can contact us if you'd like to ask what personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate or out-of-date information be corrected.
Depending on the service involved, you may also be able to update some information directly through your account or subscription settings.
